Try moving it
- Move only x — the curve stays put; only the dot walks along it. This is what “being on the graph” means.
- Make a negative — the curve flips and the dot falls with it. Same x, different f(x).

A point on the curve
Connect a slider named x to f(x) = a·x² and a dot lands on the curve. Move x and the dot walks along the curve, with f(x) readable as a number. Move a and the whole curve changes underneath it.
