Try moving it
- Move only a — both shapes stretch at once. The area formulas a×b and a×b÷2 show up as changes in the drawing.
- Compare the “=” numbers — however you set the sliders, the triangle is exactly half the parallelogram. That is what ÷2 means.

Move a shape
Sliders a and b are wired to the sides of a triangle and a parallelogram. Move them and shape and area change together — same a and b, yet the triangle is always half the parallelogram.
