Weighted average

The plain average of A, B, C next to the weighted average using wA, wB, wC. The more the weights skew, the further the two drift apart.

Try moving it

Change wC from 7 to 1 — the weighted average approaches the plain one; equal weights make them identical.
Increase A — the plain average moves at once, the weighted one barely, because wA is small. Weights decide how much each value counts.
